A personal blog probably needs at least one post that feels like an introduction.
Not a long biography, and not a polished profile page. Just a small marker that says who is writing and what this place is supposed to be.
Why this belongs here
The technical site already has a job. This blog can be looser. It can hold photos, car notes, training updates, trips, and the small things that do not need a full project write-up.
The point is not to make every post important. The point is to make them honest enough that they still feel useful when reading them later.
A familiar idea
This is not actually my first blog.
Back in 2008, when I was living near Carl Berner in Oslo, blogging was everywhere. I had a small blog called oslolivet.blogg.no where I wrote about whatever happened to interest me at the time: skating, training at Elixia, photography, and everyday life in the city.
Photography eventually became a bigger hobby and eventually led to skuifoto.com. That site stayed online for many years and remained part of my life until 2026.
Looking back, I think the reason was simple: I’ve always enjoyed documenting things. Not because every moment is important, but because memories tend to fade faster than we expect.
In a way, this blog feels less like starting over and more like coming back to something I enjoyed years ago.
What to expect
Future posts will probably be simple:
- a photo and a few notes
- a drive and what happened
- a training update
- a trip summary
- a small personal project
Nothing revolutionary.
Just a place to document projects, places, experiences, and the occasional rabbit hole before they disappear into memory.
